Dr.Muhammad Sohil Hussain says that children are at increased risk of diseases like cold, flu, cough and pneumonia in the cold season, so it is important that children are dressed in warm clothes and especially their head, ears and chest are covered.
He advised that children should be given lukewarm water, cold items and refrigerated items should be avoided, while nutritious foods like milk, soup, vegetables and fruits should be included.
According to the doctor, children should not be directly affected by smoke or cold air in closed rooms and if the child shows symptoms of fever, difficulty breathing or persistent cough, then the nearest doctor should be consulted immediately.
