National pulse Polio Campaign launched in Bidar, appeal for compulsory vaccination of children under 5 years:

Karnataka:Bidar (Dec 21, EYLAAPH NEWS)The National Pulse Polio Campaign was launched in Bidar district on Sunday. District In-charge Minister Ishwar B. Khandre officially inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops to children in Bidar city.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishwar B. Khandre said that polio has been completely eradicated in India, however, precautionary measures are very important to prevent the virus from returning and preventing disability. He appealed to the public to make polio drops mandatory for all children from newborns to children below 5 years and bring children to the booth level.

He further said that from December 22 to 24, 2025, health workers and ASHA workers will go door to door to administer polio drops to children.He said that healthy children are a basic condition for building a healthy society, so the people should take full advantage of this national program and cooperate in the success of the campaign.
On this occasion, Bidar Municipal Chairman Muhammed Ghaus, District Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Girish Badole, State Pulse Polio Nodal Officer Dr. Indumati Kamashetty, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr.Dyneshwar Nirgode, District RCH Officer Dr. Shivshankar, Taluka Health Officer Dr. Sangareddy, Administrative Medical Officer of the 100-bed hospital Dr. Muhammad Sohail Hussain and other officers, doctors and public representatives were present.
The administration has appealed to parents to actively participate in the polio campaign and ensure a safe future for their children.
